I didn't know the manga Ichi the Witch was written by the Mairimashita! Iruma-kun mangaka, Osamu Nishi, until yesterday-so I checked it out, and damn Ichi the Witch also kicks ass huh
(It's also apparently the first Shouen Jump series to have both a female writer and female artist)

I started Invincible Fight Girl on Max. So far I’m really like it so far. It’s giving battle shouen. I’m only on episode 2 but so far the world building is really pulling me in!

I like Astro Boy, but I tend to enjoy his other shouen work more like Dororo or Black Jack.
I kinda wish there was a "Best of Astro Boy" book that had the best stories. The Blue Knight, Once Upon a Time..., His Highness Deadcross tend to be some of my favs, but some of the other stories...

I kinda wish there was a "Best of Astro Boy" book that had the best stories. The Blue Knight, Once Upon a Time..., His Highness Deadcross tend to be some of my favs, but some of the other stories...

Like, in shouen the MC does a move, and then some guy goes "that's physically impossible...but he makes it look so easy!", and thats fine when its passing a ball in an insane arch or throwing a punch so hard it breaks the guys shoulder in half. But I wanna see the damn rakugo!

If you ever get in the mood to watch a well rounded and fun, old school shouen action anime that actually has put a modicum of thought into its plot/themes then checkout the modern anime!
The anime covers the whole plot of the manga but unfortunately couldn’t do a lot of the episodic build up arcs
