Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Orangutans closely followed by Gibbons. Of the streppserhines Id say...... sifakas because of zaboomafoo or however you spell it. And Disney's Dinosaur.

What's yours???!?!? I'll aggressively nod in agreement no matter what it is because primates are just that good.

Silky sifakas (Propithecus candidus) are native to a very restricted range in northeastern Madagascar. One of the rarest and most threatened sifaka species. Females mate only one day a year, in late Dec or early Jan. Threatened by slash-and-burn agriculture and hunting. Critically Endangered.

Sifaka

The Wildlife Treasury photo isn't great, so I found a few more for you see what these guys really look like.

And, don't worry late-Millennials/early Gen Zers, I didn't forget about one of your favorite shows from childhood...

Just hanging out! Crowned sifakas live in small groups of 2 to 8 and can get seriously fierce when defending their territory. #FunFactFriday

Golden-crowned sifakas (Propithecus tattersalli), or Tattersall's sifakas, are restricted to forest fragments in northeastern Madagascar. Their population is suspected to have endured a decline of at least 80% in three generations. Primarily threatened by severe forest loss. Critically Endangered.

This is so tragic, holy shit....

Hayden's characters were such a huge part of my childhood, from Suri (who arguably had a huge part in changing my life, as the Sifakas in Dinosaur were a bit spark for my love of Lemurs), to Kairi from KH, to Claire from Heroes.

Love and condolences to her family 💔
Hayden Panettiere has sadly passed away at the age of 36.

Did you know Verreaux's Sifakas aren't sexually dimorphic, but males still show subtle differences among themselves? Some are "clean-chested," while others are "stain-chested," thanks to a sternal scent gland. #FunFactFriday

Diademed sifakas (Propithecus diadema) are found in eastern and northeastern Madagascar. They bound from tree to tree or skip across the ground sidelong in a comical dance. Threatened by decades of severe deforestation and hunting. Critically Endangered.

From the haunting songs of indris to the gravity-defying leaps of sifakas, the lemurs of the Indriidae family are among Madagascar’s most extraordinary primates. They are uniquely adapted to life in the island’s forests—but many now face serious threats to their survival. vimeo.com/1127948231

sifakas are one of the diurnal species and they do a lot of bipedal locomotion so i think they’re pretty videogenic and it was probably easier to make a puppet that looks right, lol

actually yeah!! zoboomafoo was a resident sifaka at the duke lemur center. i watched the show regularly despite being a senior in high school when it debuted. sifakas aren’t my favorite but i appreciate every effort to bring more animal knowledge to kids

In the glorious utopian world to come there will be but one capital crime: denying that sifakas are the best lemurs

”Wait here, I heard something.” Your focus is on a group of white Von der Decken’s sifakas breakfasting up in the canopy. #md17

When sifakas warn for danger from the ground, they are a rhytmic combo. Lot of smacking and deep, belly-shaking grunts #Anjajavy #Madagascar

Suddendly, in unison, sifakas start a loud, deep, roaring bark. "Attention! Possible danger from the air!" A #Madagascar Buzzard #Anjajavy

Dry season. Pros: zero mosquitoes, sifakas having babies. Cons: d-r-y, leafless trees, less shadow. #Anjajavy #Madagascar #fb

Here are a few other diademed sifakas in this mother’s family group. They were all around us but seemed only modestly interested in us large primates on the forest floor… #madagascar #lemur

Happy #NationalSiblingsDay! Across the animal kingdom, species like brown bears, lions, and lemurs raise their young alongside siblings early in life, where play helps them learn important survival skills. Do these playful siblings remind you of anyone? Tag them in the comments!

That would be excellent. I do love Sifakas.
