Simon @Simon_Hypixel 13m Replying to @Simon_Hypixel @TubboLive @HugoTrork @oweloficial To clarify, it would require a LOT less money to get to something that could be released in « Very Early Access » with temporarily removed features. We could just get the community involved ASAP in modding / bug reports / feature requests / crowdfunding and find ways to use Shared Source and Open Source with cash bounties to speed up production and keep team relatively small. Guys, please, this is important, keep your expectations extremely low because usually when large companies shutdown a project like this the chances of revival are next to impossible. Yes, I made the decision, I will give my best to save Hytale. Even if it’s 1% chance. Its the least I can do to the same community that gave me the opportunity to be where I am today. I will reach out, however remember it will take a while, give it some time. It will take months to get answers and months to get done. I will share as much as possible as I go through the process. (An image is below the tweet that has a pale avatar in a hood with the caption above it saying "Just Launch")

There is a chance of #savehytale working. It would be a big challenge, but I hope Simon takes it on. I'd support ^_^

Tubbo @TubboLive 8h MAKE A KICKSTARTER RIGHT NOW Simon @Simon_Hypixel 8h Tubbo don’t bully into buying it 😂 Im living a good peaceful life! Tubbo @TubboLive 8h all am saying is that this community is very VERY passionate about this project.... Simon @Simon_Hypixel 8h Replying to @TubboLive @HugoTrork @oweloficial I get it 100%, look I am even down to put 25 millions USD by myself to finish Hytale, that’s how much I believe in it. No kickstarter, just raw passion, high pressure and high risk taking. Reduce scope: legacy engine, pc only first, open source some parts, small team, cut unfinished features to accelerate towards beta. Get players in ASAP to support development. I even already have a dozen of Hytale legacy engine veterans working with me. That’s what I would do, but I have not reached out, I’m just thinking about it now because of the bullying haha. This would be a massive challenge and impact all aspects of my life so I would probably need to consult with my family first! Jun 26, 2025 · 8:01 PM UTC

Simon Hypixel has announced on twt that he's in "active discussions" with Riot to re-acquire Hytale

Whatever the outcome, I'm so delighted that he has felt the incredible love from the community and done his best to try and get the game back and released in some form

Meanwhile bei CurseForge: "WE HIT 1,000,000 HYTALE MOD DOWNLOADS IN ONLY 48 HOURS🔥

The Hytale community has broken records yet again, creating over 500 new mods and generating a million mod downloads only two days after launch!

You are all crazy in the best way. Keep it up"

Hate to link to Twitter (so I used XCancel instead) but HYTALE COULD BE SAVED! I fully understand if it would be too much stress on Simon's life, but PLEASE, there's already so much done that can't be left to go to waste. #SaveHytale

Apparently, Hytale will receive more gear in the future, though we still don't know exactly what dynamics they're aiming for.

In my view, specialized gear that synergizes with other gear types of the same "class", done for each playstyle (such as sneaking, archery, mage, etc) would go a long way.
From @Simon_Hypixel on Twitter: "Yep, it's very early, just a random mob drop for now to add some fun to the game loot table! You will see more and more fun loot across the game for players to play around with, with no real meaning for now. I think it's important for us to have fun and explore ideas, as it also unlocks some features for modders and future features. It's a very odd way of doing game development, but it will make sense in a couple of months :P"

A few updates from #SaveHytale.
Maybe there's still hope, even if it's just a 1% chance. It would be *monumental*! But @riotgames.com needs to either save or sell.

Even so, the community is heart-broken to see the project end. The work of hundreds of developers for the past 10 years, and likely hundreds of millions of dollars, shouldn’t vanish into a vault. Please consider open-sourcing what you can: A playable legacy build The legacy/new engine The creator/modding tools The music & lore Sharing the project would preserve Hypixel Studios’ achievements, earn Riot Goodwill as a champion of game preservation, and require no ongoing support. Thank you, ❤️ The Hytale community"

this sounds promising for hytale

Although I myself don't find it exciting how Simon seems to think about it, of having very clearly intended mechanics for this sort of stuff

I wish we just had more general blocks mechanics as a part of the game, think simple as how in mc gravel/sand falls
A screenshot of a tweet by @Simon_Hypixel which says "Hiring automation & tinkering devs/designers for Hytale! We’re exploring physics-driven systems built around real, physical parts. Gears, shafts, belts, pulleys, rotation, motion, power generation and transmission, logic, and machines that players can assemble, break, and optimize. The design challenge is to make it feel like a natural extension of the game, fully optional, easy to engage with at a small scale, yet capable of deep complexity and automation for players who want to go further! Tag a dev or modder who builds this kind of stuff. I’ll be scouting in the coming weeks, and roles will be open to apply for if needed by then!"

#Hytale #Simon_Hypixel on X (Twitter) these are his words on the pricing
@Simon_Hypixel I’m pricing Hytale as aggressively low as possible. I’m taking on a considerable personal risk after repurchasing the game and getting it ready for early access for a growing team of now 50 talented individuals. I said I was all in, and I am delivering on that promise. The game is unfinished and runs on a build from over four years ago. Charging more didn’t feel right. I don’t think the game is good yet. My team and I will push hard to make it good, then great. The vision is clear and progress is fast. I want as many players as possible to jump in. Times are tough in the current economy for a lot of you, and I want everyone to have a fair chance to be part of what comes next. Thank you for the support.

@hytale.bsky.social Hi, sorry to bother, I'm looking for these alleged Pre-Release Patch Notes from Feb 11; can you tell me where to find them? I checked the official blog first but maybe I was looking in the wrong place? Or maybe these are not legit?
Screenshot of a discord post containing a forwarded message. The message reads: "Pre-Release Patch Notes (Feb 11, 2026) Update 3 (Part 3 of 3) Enable via Launcher → Settings → Pre-Release The release of Update 3, including its 3 parts, is scheduled for next week! https://x.com/Simon_Hypixel/status/2021674258070422001 "

It'd be really awesome if Simon wasn't making @hytale.bsky.social so hyper focused on using twitter only. Their official discord is mostly just a mess of people spamming and nothing at all from the team, and questions are only taken on the nazi site...
Simon (@Simon_Hypixel) We are looking for players to help us test the Hytale Pre-Release first update via the launcher! ︀︀ ︀︀If all goes well, we will release this patch in a couple of hours! Please reply to this post, and I will review the reports in a couple of hours. Thank you! Let's hope it's stable enough to launch before the weekend!
