Dubbelalbums vind ik inderdaad zelden een goed idee. En Isn’t She Lovely, tja. Maar denk dat ik SITKOL in 1976 evengoed heel overweldigend had gevonden, als beloning na (relatief) lang wachten.

Late to the trend but I'm a basic bitch so it's not like there's any deep cuts.
But tbf part of why it's the most basic albums is because they were the gateways that introduced me to the rest of the artists' libraries. Aja and SitKoL are like, the best albums ever, tho.
One album per artist

When I was lil, my dad had one of those 80s all-in-one console stereos that he got a deal on. The tape deck was ok for playback but GARBAGE for recording. Our tape copy of SITKOL had serious speed issues, especially on Another Star (my favorite as a kid) and these days the right version seems wrong

SITKOL is special. His best album, whatever that means (!), but I’m still drawn to Talking Book. Heaven

I agree SitKoL is brilliant.
And the first dance at our wedding was I Believe (when I fall in love...), so I am with you on Talking Book. 👍

I grew up thinking most of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs were from "Songs in the Key of Life" ("As" was always my favorite song of his), but as it turns out, my dad had a mixtape that was mostly "Innervisions". Didn't actually hear SitKoL in its entirety until last year and I felt so robbed

After spinning that SITKOL 50th EP over and over and over again, I have drawn this conclusion:

a couple years ago, I wrote all the Stevie blurbs for a Noted Streaming Service but I can only find a handful of them. Anyway, I'm remembering that my research indicated that there are *maybe* a bunch more extra songs from SitKoL hidden away docs.google.com/document/d/1...
