Khachapuri good

Aw yeah. Khachapuri from Skalka Cafe in Seattle!

32. One of my favorite places to get lunch here is Skalka, which does these Georgian bread boats called khachapuri, filled with cheese and other stuff

New food obsession incoming. Finally tried khachapuri at
Skalka downtown and it was very worth the trip and now I must learn to make it. 😬

OH MY GOD I ALMOST FORGOT SKALKA!! Actual khachapuri! (You will absolutely need a nap afterwards though)

Looking around at what was open today, I came across Skalka, which I instantly knew was going to be the move on a very empty stomach. Excellent Adjaruli khachapuri, with only five total options on the menu.

After enduring the dentist, I decided to treat myself to a khachapuri at Skalka. It’s been a year or two since I last stopped in. I typically get just cheese and gooey eggs but I tried the vegetable today and it was on point. Properly cooked eggplant for the win.

you guys, I thanked the Skalka restaurant guys for their dough tips and they told me they have an online master class where they share their recipe for the dough and the filling. It’s $49 😬 but theirs *is* really damn good.

I have wanted to do the Seattle Underground tour ever since I read Terry Pratchett's author's note in The Truth, and today was my mom's last day in Seattle, so I took her with me

It was lots of fun.

(Unlike Pterry, I do not recommend the clam chowder, but the khachapuri at Skalka is pretty good.)

There's a great place that makes these in Seattle. NYT also published a recipe for it that's super easy to make at home.

Check out the Crescent. It’s a karaoke bar that is gay but typically has a mixed crowd. I used to bartend there and it gets insanely fun some nights. Bar del Corso for good Italian food. Skalka for khachapuri.
