That's how I feel.
I spent hours putting my photos into hard media only to have it crap out on me when I need it. My last recourse at this point is digging out my sketchbooks and retaking the photos. And in some cases, that won't work.

TBH the last traditional art I ever did was like... solid 5 years ago in some old sketchbooks, I do not have anything recent bc as soon as I got my graphic tablet I never went back 😭 I do not enjoy making traditional art myself, my love lays within digital 💖

I loved letraset! I still have loads of it, they used to sell it in WHSmith when I was at uni. Used it all the time in my sketchbooks!

I'll share better photos later, but ultimately I realized I had already done "oracle cards" by creating these. This stack is only HALF of the little drawings I did in my sketchbooks. So I guess, stay tuned for part two at some point.

But yeah, to each their own, I guess. I'm the hoarder type, though, when it comes to my own art. If I hadn't made a mad dash from my birth family's home, I would probably have 20+ sketchbooks with me from move to move. Different mindsets and there's totally nothing wrong with either, I'm learning.

I shared my favourite hack for sketching with watercolour without having to buy expensive sketchbooks and I’m half expecting them to rely “yes but I like buying expensive sketchbooks.”

The only thing holding me back from going whole-hog into bookbinding is that I don't journal and I already have plenty of sketchbooks, so I'd need to offload them somewhere or else find some old broken books that are nice enough to rehab, but not too nice for experiments...
