Slutwalk here petered out when we had people asking us to "tone it down" because they wanted to bring their children and thus wanted to impose a dress code upon the event.

I understand the idea behind the slutcon/slutwalk whatever movement and taking back power and all that.
Problem is, most people DON'T. The cultural viewpoint on promiscuity is "slut=likes sex=wants sex from anyone" and bad-acting men are going to these "empowering" events with that expectation.

I want to make another point here, that I think Faine does an excellent job of highlighting: there isn't anything particularly wrong with putting on sex parties with consenting adults
