I feel like McGyver right now... In case anyone ever has the same problem of the scanner blocking too much space, put it on one of these trays. Just drill a hole on the back for the cable. #arthacks #smallliving then you can use the trays on top as usual and take them off when you use the scanner.

Practical Design Tips for Maximising Small Living Spaces
As Australians increasingly face smaller living spaces due to housing trends and apartment developments, experts are sharing practical strategies for making these homes functional and comfortable. Colin Chee, founder of the YouTube channel Never Too Small, emphasises living in a space first before investing in furniture or renovations. He suggests using budget-friendly solutions, choosing furniture with ‘skinny legs’ to create the illusion of space, and prioritising multifunctional items. Tahj Rosmarin and Claire Scorpo also highlight the importance of designing spaces that serve multiple purposes. Rather than defaulting to open-plan layouts, they recommend subtle separations like cafeteria-style windows or fluted glass partitions to maintain visual connection while allowing distinct functions for different areas. Vertical space is also key: elevating beds to create storage underneath, raising shelving and curtain rods, and using high ceilings to make spaces feel larger. Overall, the experts advocate thoughtful, adaptable designs that suit the inhabitants’ lifestyle rather than purely aesthetic choices, showing that even tiny homes can be functional, stylish, and comfortable with the right planning.

Just a warning to everyone: I will be tearing down and rebuilding my trailer this year, and be back to living out of my car come spring.

I will be posting about it a lot now that I have the floorplan ready.
