Did a back of envelope calculation, and it looks like our tiny 2-seater SmartElectric car which has some of the best 'mileage' of any EV will end up costing us, with our high Wairarapa power prices, $131 per 1000km in electricity+RUC. Our Jazz costs about $160 per 1000km in petrol.
