This is a range map for "Pignut Hickory", also known as "Smoothbark Hickory" and a few other names (Carya Glabra). It is the tallest, oldest deciduous tree on my property (the red dot), and spreading. There must be close to a dozen on my road, and a monster on one of the earliest farms around here.
