The upside of this is that it lets ao3 specialise in being a very, very resilient host. Socmed sites & ecommerce sites (tumblr, itch, ebay etc) have folded one by one on free speech around sexuality and ao3 will never do that.

I hope and also believe that some certain oomfs will understand me when I say I use dubcon as an all-rounder usually, not to minimize what is happening, but to avoid search-term socmed harrassment for fictional noncon

Ansätze nur bedingt. Die Kids brauchen definitiv mehr Unterstützung als sie bislang von ihrer Familie (=0) oder mir selbst bekommen können. Ich habe daher nicht die Erwartung, dass wir hier in SocMed an einem Sonntagabend Probleme lösen können, die im alkoholisierten Mutterleib ihren Anfang genommen

using piracy as an excuse to reupload and mass redistribute fics you have saved doesnt work considering 1) most fic authors arent making money off their work; 2) most people involved in piracy know how to Shut The Fuck Up & not just blast their collections on the biggest socmed platform in the world

So, I've been going back and forth about my situation with socmed lately, and after these months of stepping back and thinking carefully about what I want to do, I've decided that I'm just gonna go in a hiatus state which means I'm still gonna take a long break, but I'll be back eventually.

I'm not gonna be uploading things anymore, neither attending DMs on Discord or any other site. There's not a particular reason for it, I simply want to keep going with my life.

So, I've been going back and forth about my situation with socmed lately, and after these months of stepping back and thinking carefully about what I want to do, I've decided that I'm just gonna go in a hiatus state which means I'm still gonna take a long break, but I'll be back eventually.
The irony tho that beforehand SocMed was telling Spindlehorse that a Stolas AMA was a bad idea and they would eat him alive in there.
And yet it's SocMed itself that is doing that just because he's not answering the idealized way they want. And thus ARE the ones eating him alive.

the changing nature of fandom has brought me a lot of grief, same as everyone else, but honestly, existing in a small space that hasn't substantially changed for 20 years alongside of the giant socmed ones is really a stabilizing anchor I should never take for granted. god bless dwrp
