to this end i’ll be running seminars for softmodding old consoles, setting up emulators and pirating old games for my friends xx
and also if you buy a pc game but can't get it drm-free, you can probably get a crack and hack your way into being able to play it forever as long as you keep hold of the data, like if you really care about "preservation" that's gotta be the way you do it i feel

Tbf my undrrstanding is that softmodding has only recently been figured out for the 360.

As we speak, the softmodding community is catching up pretty fast to more recent firmware versions of PS5, I would assume the recent spike of progress was a response to ending disc printing
