Happy TOSS Birthday to Jon Rashad Kamal, who played Commander Sonak in TMP. He himself is still with us 95. His character, however... 🙄 #TOSSatNight

With Reunification between Vulcans & Romulans seemingly on the horizon, Starfleet worked alongside Vulcan engineers to design the Sonak Class as a celebration of the history of Vulcan starship design, with their signature warp ring in lieu of traditional nacelles.

Sonak used to be a young twink sleeping with commanders and now he's an old twink sleeping with admirals. Will Kirk actually have sex with him or will Sonak just have to listen to him opine about Spock while ordering increasingly expensive drinks to see when Kirk notices/objects?

Since there's no canon & therefore nothing to stop me I think the way Sonak & Kirk met was that Sonak was bent over scifi vacuuming the scifi carpet & Kirk, fresh off his divorce, was like "god that ass reminds me of my ex husband's"

Sonak is apparently an engineering/maintenance officer? He's literally a fucking space janitor? & Kirk was like "I need you at the science station"? & Sonak was like "yea sure"?? Hello? Sonak is giving big "I'm not a gynecologist but I'll take a look" vibes. Kirk you put the janitor on the bridge

Ok I just need to know way more about Commander Sonak. I know he only exists to serve cunt & get eaten by the transporter but I need more! There's supposedly not that many Vulcans in Starfleet, let alone gay ones & here's Sonak who slurs his f's just as much as Spock does & I need to know his deal

I'm just thinking about how somebody really needs to write a Sonak/Kirk fic cause my god the filthy potential is off the charts. Like Kirk is gonna be working through some real nasty anger & grief & betrayal by boinking that Spock knockoff & I know he's gonna be MEAN to poor Sonak
