I made a saucy salmon&garlic&onion thing, with diced tomatoes and olive oil and mushrooms, to eat with pasta, for dinner. When we finally made it back home from the movie, I wasn’t really in the mood for pasta, but remembered we had some Texas toast in the freezer. Sortakinda bruschetta was yummy.

Tbh, he's not so much wrong, as he is late - sortakinda. It was still too expensive, but before congress let terms expire, we could afford to pay for insurance AND use it. Now copays & deductibles are so unaffordable, many of us wait until we're very very very sick before going to doc.

And those four lines (I first wrote it down as a sortakinda poem) clicked together as a scaffold for the beginning of the life I thought I wanted most. It was going to take my own effort, my own carving away what didn't fit, to develop the still vague concept of a self into something better.
