Ambiences from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil sound effect library #sounddesign #soundeffects #soundlibrary
Ambiences from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Rio de Janeiro is a city defined by its dramatic topography, and this library captures that unique sonic friction. It is a journey of elevation, beginning with the serene, isolated ocean foam textures of Grumari Beach, climbing with the historic Santa Teresa tram, and ending at the wind-swept Pedra Bonita summit. The library highlights the rhythms of Carioca culture. From the Ave Maria church bells floating over the morning traffic of Rua do Senado to the melodic vendor cries for Mate and Globo on the Ipanema sands, these sounds provide the essential human textures of Rio. You will find the hushed, echoing footsteps of the Real Gabinete library contrasted against the explosive arrival of international travelers at GIG airport, offering a full spectrum of reverberant interiors and sun-drenched exteriors. Technical Specification for Editors: * Sonic Character: Atmospheric, soaring, rhythmic, and highly resonant. * Perspective Variety: Includes top-down mountain peaks, moving transit interiors, and wide-angle beach promenades. * Cultural Landmarks: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, and Santa Teresa. * UCS Ready: Meticulously tagged for instant integration into professional sound design workflows.

Forest Ambiences sound effect library #sounddesign #soundeffects #soundlibrary
Forest Ambiences
A forest is a truly immersive environment surrounding you in endless variation. Every square metre is alive with activity. Birds call from the canopy, insects move through the undergrowth, leaves rustle in the wind, branches creak, and distant trees sway. The soundscape never stands still. The goal of this library is simple: not just to let you hear the forest, but to let you feel present within it. Over the past year I recorded the forests of Tyresta National Park in autumn, late winter, and spring, not searching for dramatic events, but for the continuous natural ambience that defines these environments. Wind moving through the trees forms the foundation, while countless subtle sounds constantly appear and disappear around it. The forest is rarely silent to those who take the time to listen. To truly recreate the experience of standing in a forest, spatial recording is essential. Stereo can present a beautiful image, but an immersive recording allows the listener to be surrounded by the environment. When I listen back to these recordings, I'm transported to those places again. Not as a memory, but as an experience.   Download Rolling Thunder multi-channel demo   Spatial recording: This library was recorded using the Multi-channel Ambient Sample System (MASS), a multi-channel evolution of the classic Stereo Ambient Sample System (SASS), a technique widely used by field recordists. MASS uses omnidirectional microphone capsules with full-bandwidth frequency response. Directional separation is achieved acoustically by the microphone enclosure and carefully designed foam wedges rather than by directional capsules. The system used for this recording consists of six microphone capsules in the horizontal plane and four capsules in the upper hemisphere. The six horizontal channels were chosen to match the horizontal resolution of Dolby Atmos 7.1.4, while omitting the Centre and LFE channels. The increased horizontal sampling density provides for more precise localisation, smoother spatial reproduction around the listener and a more immersive listening experience. This microphone design preserves both inter-aural time differences (ITD) and inter-aural level differences (ILD), providing precise spatial localisation and a stable 360° sound field.   Metadata: File naming and basic metadata follow the Universal Category System (USC). Additional metadata, including detailed descriptions, keywords, detailed microphone perspective and embedded images from the recording sessions has been added using Soundminer and is provided in a separate metadata document. Files: The library is provided as 12-channel, 24-bit, 96 kHz WAV files using the following channel layout: L/R/C/LFE/Lss/Rss/Lrs/Rrs/Ltf/Rtf/Ltr/Rtr. Please note that Centre (C) and LFE channels are intentionally left silent. They were added only to ensure compatibility with a standard Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 object bed. A channel guide file is also included in the library, making it easy to verify the channel layout. Specification: 39 files, 2h 3m (excluding the channel guide), 24-bit / 96 kHz, 12-channel WAV, embedded metadata including a photo from each recording site, library guide included. Keywords for included sounds: Wind, wind gusts, birds, bird song, woodpecker, cuckoo, crows, seagulls, ducks, insects, bumblebee, flying, rustling leaves, creaking trees, twigs, rain, running water, splashing water, lapping water, flock, dog

Rolling Thunder sound effect library #sounddesign #soundeffects #soundlibrary
Rolling Thunder
Thunderstorms are among nature's most emotional and awe-inspiring experiences. Only a fool would fail to respect their power. For many people, thunder and lightning evoke a sense of unease or even fear. Their immense scale and energy make every storm a unique event. This is not an "ultimate" thunderstorm library offering endless variations of distant rumbles and explosive lightning strikes. Instead, it documents a single thunderstorm that remained directly overhead for an extended period of time, accompanied by light rain. And to be honest, it wasn't a particularly intense storm, but it certainly produced some magnificent rolling thunder. What makes these recordings special is not their variety, but their authenticity of the experience: the immense sound unfolding above you, captured in full immersive glory. Whenever I listen to them, they bring me back to the same emotional state I experienced while standing there, surrounded by the thunder. If you prefer to build your own thunderstorm, these recordings also work exceptionally well as a spatial foundation. You can easily combine them with stereo recordings featuring sharp lightning cracks or dramatic close strikes, while the immersive rolling thunder fills the entire space with a convincing sense of scale.   Download Rolling Thunder multi-channel demo   Spatial recording: This library was recorded using the Multi-channel Ambient Sample System (MASS), a multi-channel evolution of the classic Stereo Ambient Sample System (SASS), a technique widely used by field recordists. VoxSplit Pro sound effect library #sounddesign #soundeffects #soundlibrary
VoxSplit Pro
Separate overlapping dialogue. Keep the performance. VoxSplit Pro separates two overlapping voices from a single recording and delivers them as two independently editable tracks. It was created for a situation every dialogue editor knows: two actors speak at the same time, but only one performance needs ADR, editing or different processing. Instead of rebuilding the entire moment, VoxSplit Pro lets you work on each voice separately. One recording. Two editable voices. Separate the overlap into Voice A and Voice B. Edit, process or replace one performance while preserving the timing, delivery and intention of the other. Built for real dialogue-editing problems * Replace only one actor’s line when two performances overlap. * Adjust the timing or processing of each voice independently. * Reduce an intrusive background speaker. * Rebalance voices recorded at different levels. * Clean up and denoise difficult dialogue recordings. * Recover more control from production sound that would otherwise require ADR or extensive reconstruction. Three processing profiles Standard, Precision and Rescue are three alternative approaches to the same material—not ascending quality levels. Because every overlap is different, the intended workflow is simple: process the passage with each profile, compare the results by ear and keep the version that works best. The optional Presence control can restore additional high-frequency detail as a finishing step. A straightforward professional workflow AAX AudioSuite Capture a selection in Pro Tools, process it offline, audition either separated voice and render the chosen result directly into the session. VST3 Use VoxSplit Pro from a compatible VST3 host as part of your editing and restoration workflow. Standalone application Drag and drop an audio file, process it and export Voice A and Voice B separately as WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3. Your audio stays on your Mac All separation and denoising are performed locally. Your recordings are not uploaded to a cloud service for processing, making VoxSplit Pro suitable for confidential productions and material protected by non-disclosure agreements. VoxSplit Pro works with performances that have already been recorded. It does not clone voices or generate new performances. Full interface or Mini mode Use the complete interface when comparing profiles and refining a result, or switch to the compact Mini mode for a faster, less intrusive workflow. What to expect VoxSplit Pro is optimised for recordings containing two principal voices. As with any source-separation process, the result depends on the recording, the amount of overlap and the acoustic complexity of the source. * Results are not guaranteed with more than two simultaneous speakers. * Passages shorter than approximately two seconds may produce inconsistent results. * Complex stereo material may create artefacts; using a shorter selection or another processing profile will often help. * On difficult material, Voice A and Voice B may be assigned differently by each profile. * The first pass after launching the software takes longer while the processing engine loads. Subsequent passes are faster. System requirements macOS only — Apple Silicon and Intel * Apple Silicon with macOS 14 or later. * Apple Silicon with macOS 12.7 to 13. * Apple Silicon with a host running under Rosetta, macOS 12.7 or later. * Intel Mac with macOS 12.7 or later. * Pro Tools 2023.3 or later for native Apple Silicon operation. Installation and licensing * Approximately 10 GB of free space required during installation. * Approximately 3.3 GB installed. * Protected by PACE iLok. * 7-day fully functional trial available. * Documentation in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian and Simplified Chinese. Hear what remains when the voices are separated. Try VoxSplit Pro for seven days and evaluate it on your own dialogue recordings.
