I promised special features for the return trip, and it delivered!

I was lucky enough to book the #SpaciaX Cockpit Suite, a private space at the front of the train. Seats? Nah, it has couches! And priority bar access to buy the local beers on tap. Oh, and @thatjohn.bsky.social was there! So fancy!

My favorite part of my Japan trip was my Nikko day trip from Tokyo with my favorite Limited Express SpaciaX.

Back to Tokyo we go on the #SpaciaX

#Nikko was really cool, and that winding road up was really cool. Would love to drive up it one day.

スペーシアX1号がSL大樹と下今市で接続しているのは承知していたけど、今日の運用車種(牽引機)の説明を車内でするなど案内が丁寧。
ただ、Nikko目当てのnon-Japanese touristsが多いので、訴求力的にどうなんでしょうかね。

It’s time for a day trip out of #Tokyo. Riding on the #SpaciaX was an absolute treat, and the journey out was ever so calm and relaxing. Did I mention they have an onboard bar as well?

Japanese #trains are truly a marvel, and they are oh so pretty.

ビールのうまさですが、加えて、どこで飲めるのかも大事だなと最近感じたできごとがありました。
東武の特急電車スペーシアX でタップが4つつながっているのですが、そもそも特急電車のラウンジでのんびりクラフトビールが飲めます。
お店のビアバーだとたくさんあるタップの中での競争になりますが、戦う場所を変えると少ないタップの中となり、かつまた違った体験と共に記憶に残るので、そういうのはありなんだなと感じました。
