Gestures are AAC. #signlanguage is not AAC. Sign languages are languages. #AAC is any alternative way of communicating in a language. Regardless of the #language I use, I will always be an #AACuser. Like #English, #BSL has language components that I am not able to produce. #mute #mutism #speechloss

I encourage all people who have wished that they didn't have to speak to try #AAC. #AACisforeveryone! If it doesn't benefit you, you will find that you go back to speaking, because being an #AACuser is quite frustrating! #mute #mutism #speechloss #autistic #autism
