This is a nice, helpful deep dive on the Speedbridge technique, but it would be more salient if it could be confirmed if Tatum actually had that procedure performed for his Achilles
New @forbes.com:

The doctor who performed Jayson Tatum's surgery is known for the SpeedBridge. I spoke with Arthrex, the company behind that, to learn more.

From athletes to case studies, it's earning overwhelming support. The benefits could be crucial to Tatum returning to All-NBA form.

I've watched like 200 episodes of ER and the entirety of The Pitt (twice) this spring. This explanatory video for the technique used in Jayson Tatum's achilles repair still sounds downright Turbo-Encabulator-esque to me:

He had the SpeedBridge procedure which is supposed to tout a complete recovery in 6-9 months. I was skeptical too, but I’m hopeful to be proven wrong.

By the standard timeline for a
Speedbridge Achilles repair, he should be full go by mid August if not sooner. But we all know that a big part of recovery is getting confidence back that your body has healed. We’ll see how he handles that aspect in the preseason.

I don’t think he had the same repair as Cousins. From what I understand the “recovery” timeline on the speedbridge repair is low-impact training in 4-6 months, high impact return in 6-9 months post surgery. He had surgery 12/9.
