That cubing record is actually a fairly big deal, as women are really underrepresented! As an (amateur) speedcuber myself, seeing record-holders this young is fairly common (more dextrous hands, typically)--the single fastest official solve is held by 9-year-old Teodor Zajder.

Holy cow. Getting advice from a Sub-20 speedcuber. I'd call that a W considering how amateur I am at the moment. Magical little encounters like this make me happy that I put out these shorts. When you put yourself out there, you never know what wonderful little encounters you'll have!
