I personally like the web browser so far, to use the ‘Brave Origin’ standalone and stable version daily since it has been released for free on GNU/Linux. I probably wouldn’t pay if it were on proprietary operating systems, like most commenters discussed here, at the _cost of CA$80_ (that’s too much on my local currency after conversion from USD)… So far, I thought I might miss the Speedreader feature for reading articles, but I increasingly shift that to the Tor Browser instead.

HotGato Speed Reader is the most advanced speed reading tool on the internet. It allows you to read text at adjustable speeds, with automatic punctuation pauses, customizable font styles, and document uploads.

Pay more to get less.

donutfreak: > Speedreader isnt in Origin. Otherwise, I’d probably use/buy it. It’s on Origin, but only if you update from regular Brave.

Brave origin removes some features people might want, like speedreader. You would have to disable those. Being the same as origin isn’t an inherit benefit and you are good if you followed the guide. If you dislike a feature and can’t figure out how to disable it then you can still ask, but you are not doing anything wrong in following the guide.
