#spinelessness
I'd say rw media is just a mobility scooter for the laziness, spinelessness, shamelessness.

On Tuesday, GOP senator Jon Husted said it was time to end Trump’s illegal war. But two days later, Husted voted against a resolution to end Trump’s illegal war. His spinelessness in service of a wannabe king is one of the many reasons why Husted is about to lose his job in November.

Every time they bend the knee, they encourage Trump to make more threats and demands. Just before midterms, they are helping him survive instead of making sure he is stripped of power by losing both the Congress and the Senate. The spinelessness of European 'leadership' is breathtaking.

Well then I nearly give a shit. Biden's spinelessness and arrogance gift-wrapped America for Trump 2.0 in numerous ways; he was one of our most pathetic Presidents.

@mayor.nyc.gov Not only does this harm trans kids to appease actual fucking nazis, these hospitals are violating state anti-discrimination laws. The doctors themselves oppose this change even. This is self serving spinelessness from hospital higher ups, that harms some of the most vulnerable.

Hey Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, if you want to abdicate the responsibilities of Article I of the Constitution, maybe you should just resign, because you are no longer doing your job. It is the spinelessness of Rebulicans, I cannot abide. Read the Constitution, I havre, and enforce the clauses.

They have spent this whole time showing us their spinelessness.

Supporting Trump nominees, policy, mending fences with fascists, arming genocide no matter what.

Like, it's all right there to be observed.

2020-08-06 - Taking One for the Team

Another #semibased take from #StoneToss this time demonstrating the spinelessness of #sportscucks. While the athletes in professional leagues like the #NBA and #NFL deride what their fanbase values, #sportsball fans continue to support them.

Brave man, I can’t believe I’m saying that?!
It’s a no brainer ffs. We’ve just had spinelessness at the top for too long, all the way back to the pig fucker.
Would love to see some justice for farage, gove and johnson- but I’m not THAT self delusional.
Andy Burnham has broken the taboo on prime ministers being open to the UK rejoining the EU.

It's a really important moment for our country.

The inescapable truth is that the UK cannot achieve decent growth and fund the public services the public demands without EU alignment.

Also, Kutler and Kordrick are perfect examples why to stopped listening to / watching MSNBC / MSNOW, though to be transparent I stopped when Maddow’s spinelessness and hypocrisy became readily apparent, which was even before her deafening silence in the wake of the firing of the women and POC.

On that note, while I don't believe Israel/Palestine is specifically what lost Kamala the election, I do think her general spinelessness in leadership is what sank all the enthusiasm behind her ("I wouldn't have done anything fundamentally different" was such a braindead statement)
October 1, 2026 at 1:13 AM
Naturally she has to "qualify" her support and drag #El-Sayed. The establishment spinelessness is impervious to drump even. 🤨 @slotkin.senate.gov @allinwithchris.bsky.social #inners

The Imperial Presidency is a longstanding and ever-compounding problem that is very complicated.. but yes, it remains very much the case that the deliberate abandonment by Congress of one of its key powers to another federal branch out of sheer electoral spinelessness has much to answer for.
Congress not doing its civ-mil job for 20+ years is oft ignored by analysts. Combo of polarization starting from the early 1990s and then by the GWOT. Where it matters to constituents like Walter Reed and arms for Ukraine (local jobs), they are still interested. But not much else.

the joke isn't at the expense of rape victims, which would be the kind of joke a rapist would make. the joke is at the expense of men who avoid conflict with other men and contribute to the harm of women with their spinelessness. context is important

Cornell was on my kid's longlist. It's not on his shortlist. The university president deliberately backed his car up into a student. Then the university capitulated to the current administration in a stunning display of spinelessness. Now this.
September 30, 2026 at 6:41 AM
The sheer combination of spinelessness and mendacity it takes to be a right-wing talking head nowadays is quite something
September 30, 2026 at 2:08 AM
I hope that university admin are all awake at night thinking about how their school could easily be going through what Cornell is going through right now because of their spinelessness, corruption, and totally feckless leadership.

I kinda expect a walkback/apology for posting this, based on 1) the comments, 2) their spinelessness and 3) their unhinged hatred of the mayor.
September 29, 2026 at 9:21 PM
The spinelessness of the republican party and the majority of the media is breathtaking. Lessons of 1930s Germany going unheeded.

Sadly, similar is happening in major European countries.

So many lessons unlearned.

The thing about courage is people won't necessarily follow you as you lead the charge. For the most part you'll have cowards nitpicking and attacking you from the back row, and winning praise for their spinelessness.
September 29, 2026 at 8:56 PM
Which is worse. His spinelessness is actually why he became president. Because he was easily manipulated into doing the things for other people who actually believe in the stuff, and trump just does what they say and gets to rape the American people and their treasury.
September 29, 2026 at 2:41 PM
There’s so much to be disappointed about but the spinelessness by many of the press has been terrible. They are what stands between us and this madman, ffs.
Going to the WH Correspondents dinner, allowing the verbal abuse directed at their colleagues, etc.
Shameful. Humiliating.
September 29, 2026 at 3:59 AM
Never mind that I later learned that user spouted manosphere bullshit, and publicly joked about sexually assaulting other player characters and like???

The should be an insta-ban for life on its own???

I left, obviously, because that degree of spinelessness and complicity is incredible. Holy shit.
September 29, 2026 at 3:49 AM
Any candidate who throws trans people under the bus to win is a person who should lose. They are capitulators who will give up and continue democratic spinelessness. They therefore offer no real alternative to fascism. They are a bill of goods for a rotten product.

Electoralism will not save you.
September 28, 2026 at 9:10 AM
Sensible, in this context is code for doing as little as we can get away with.

Spinelessness is the ALP way.
