Ref sheet for the Grox Supersoldier- Betasizer Subject-09 [BSS-09]: Vince. He is a Grox from Spore (red, fuzzy-frog-like aliens with cybernetics), but highly modified biologically and mechanically into humanoid proportions- standing at 200cm, twice as tall as a normal Grox. (plus a bushy-like tail) He has the typical Grox cybernetics, right mechanical eye, right arm is completely robotic, the chest plate with red core- but now: he sports shoulder pauldrons akin to a Conqirx Commander, a mini-missile launcher on his left shoulder, mechanical components wrapped/embedded into his left arm, and both legs have been made robotic- complete with retractable jet boosters. On his right arm would also be a plasma pulser-like multiweapon. His expression sheet would have him neutral, smiling with delight, angrily shouting, and staring blankly and unimpressed. His notes state his giant height is 40m. Using the Betasizer to copy the size changing capabilities of the ultra-seijins. And that he wields weapons of Warrior Captain parts (Plasma Claws, Plasma Pulser, Lightning Strike Blade, Missile Finger), Space Stage ship weapons, and mechanical copies of the Stun, Shield and Flame Jet Biopowers from Spore Creatures. Two screenshots featuring Vince's signature fightercraft groxship, nicknamed "Redfang" Its a typical jetlike, crescent-horned, shark-finned spaceship of a grox, but with a tint of a red paintjob, along with extra guns at the side of the cockpit, and taller dorsal fins. The concept screenshot of a tall, humanoid-shaped Grox that would beocme Vince. Notably, there is a Battery Pack- captain part on his back. Otherwise, all other details shown here are not meant for the final design. A refined edit of previous. Now it properly looks like Vince, complete with tufts of fur, arm attachment on his left, organic arm. Battery pack on his back, jets on his legs. Tho, he is lacking his shoulder pauldrons/pads.

I was on a Grox (Spore) kick yesterday- and ended up doing some Grox doodles- amongst some other stuff while at work.

Here's a galactic-code breaking gremlin, and concept sketches for a Grox OC I have ideas for.

#art #sketch #Spore #SporeGrox #doodle
A gremlin-styled Grox stanced up- with neco arc eye(s). The Grox (from Spore) are a cyborg alien race that are chibi in proportions. Their heads are as large as their simple round torsos, with a green left eye, and the other half of their head covered with metal tech, as a red, unblinking bot eye. Their head also sports pointy ears, and their mouths are filled with sharp teeth. They have two, simple-esk arms (3 fingers) and two legs (2 toes) with nubby hands and feet, with the right side of bodies sporting mechanical attachments/replacements. Their chests are covered in more tech, with red, yellow, and blue lights, exposed tubes, and a red plate resembling a core. Biologically, their are mostly red, with a faint light patch on their ventral side, and dark stripes on the 2nd join of their limbs. And (usually in fanart) they are depicted as being fuzzy. A sketch page of a Grox with more humanoid proportions. A sketch to the left of the image presents that this Grox OC is twice the height of a normal Grox. The OC has the usual details, but now also has a cannon on the top of his lower arm, and armored pauldrons over his mechanical arm. A more completed sketch of previous, with more detailing in panels, stripes, fur, and tech. He now has his left arm in view- with a lower arm-wrist attachment with a similarly shaped, yet different energy projector (its energy claws) Notably, the striping in his fur is now more downward and angular, with zigzag/arrow stripes on his upper legs similar to an Ultraman.

Happy anniversary to the game that changed my brain chemistry for the better. Here's some grox.
I was thinking of the wood frog, and how it can survive freezing temperatures. And how grox thrive on T0 planets. Figured it was a decent fit.
