For #Flyday, a little Diamond Spottail (Fazia micrura), a native hover fly on the blossoms of a Wooly Lamb's-ear (Stachys byzantina), a non-native but very soft and furry plant.

Hello again! I took a break because I was travelling an' stuff, and in the meantime I've seen all sorts of nifty things. I'll highlight a few as time permits.
Today in the backyard garden I planted in April, I saw this diamond spottail (Fazia micrura) perfectly aligned on lavender.📷🪰🌼
