Ring-necked parakeets are still spreading across the UK - apocryphally they were said to have escaped the film set of the African Queen at Isleworth Studios to explain their early concentration in west London, but there were no parrots on set & early escapees from captivity predate the film.

...the BBC needs to work out what it wants to be. Podcast platform, broadcaster, news outlet or distributor. Some shows like Springwatch don't get any promotion, but a couple of people mixing wallpaper paste gets a show called Paste Off.

Today I finally made the decision to cancel my TV licence, i kept paying to watch Spring/Autumnwatch which is now just Springwatch it appears, The JK Rowling Documentary is what i needed to push me over the edge, The BBC is now just official GBNews a fascist mouthpiece so it just got defunded!

I've just read that Joe Harkness has passed away. Incredibly sad, he was such a great voice and advocate for neurodivergence, mental health and nature.
