There was a phase around 2014 when we thought we’d see more ‘stealth’ smart watches. Companies were playing with traditional faces that had little lights or translucency to indicate information without the digital face. But, no. Lozenges and squircles only.

the new firefox theming: overall do not care/no longer mind once i figured out i can force it to be a flat color by following my desktop's theming, otherwise the circular squircles look good on the address bar and look bad on the tabs. i actually liked the square themed from 2 UXes ago more still.

Like, because they've gone to full rounded corners instead of squircles, as someone with a lot of tabs, now if I have a container tab the bar indicating it's a container tab is

One of my big issues with blatant ai apps is when the dev knows how to engineer a good app, but they fully smoothbrain about the HID and the visual style….. so it all looks identical. I’m tired of those body squircles and that font, those touch elements so crowded.. bleh

i'm being very genuine here, i'm not sure where you're seeing inconsistency? everything looks pretty consistent to me; there's squircles in menu dialogues and that's all i've seen that could be considered square. and technically yeah that's true but it's definitely not square in the same way it[...]
