The minor #OceanLiner #SSColumbia of 1880 is largely remembered to-day as the first #steamship to feature electric lighting with #Edison bulbs. She was lost in a collision with the lumber ship San Pedro off the coast of #HumboldtCounty, #California, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1907.
