I feel like that is because they hid the unique weapons for each weapon type in the dungeons (has only played Cai's route disclaimer). These would otherwise be bonus objective rewards, especially in the GBA games. ALSO WHERE ARE THE STATBOOSTING ITEMS

In récent game resident evil does this thing where you get some sort of statboosting item in the form of injectables and it's just like yeah no problem put that shit in my viens right fucking NOW I WANT THIS ONE ADDITIONAL HIT MAX HP INCREASE
