Stateless people with no rights is a feature, not a bug, of the Trump/Wurman/Barnett plan.
This is a massively underappreciated practical & logistical problem. There are at least hundreds of children found abandoned every year, but more importantly, TENS TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS who have no father listed at birth.
Barrett is now pretty aggressively going after the SG on the practical realities of determining citizenship, which the SG largely dismisses out of hand as rare and not relevant to the EO in particular (basically saying it's not a big deal).

My grandparents were stripped of their German citizenship. They were left stateless and had no one to protect them from being murdered by the Nazis
