The picture is centered on a greenish gray threadlike organism which is suspended from the branches of a tree. This looks like Spanish Moss, but it is actually a lichen!

A three story stone building completed in 1910, with 3 descending tower-like wings that have square, green spilled windows, and archways on the ground level. One the left side of the frame an alle of small junipers leads to the estate, and in front of the house is a circular dirt drive, with two white plinths holding decorative arrangements of pumpkins and flowers centered on the front door of the house. On the right side behind the house there are large evergreens and one yellow hardwood in the distance

The forest floor is covered in fallen redwood needles, small ferns, mosses, and clover—like plants known as Redwood Sorrel. Among the sorrel, there are the yellowish beige caps of a small clump of mushrooms. They darken toward tan in the center of their caps, and lighten toward the edges. The same clump of mushrooms is seen from a side view. The mature caps look flat, while some sprouting caps look rounded. The stalks are a yellow-beige.
