Last year I made homebrew for Draw Steel every day in October, based on @diwatamnl.bsky.social's prompts. This year I'm flipping it around and challenging the DS community to follow through! Here are 31 prompts for #drawsteel homebrew — now get going!! #promptober #ttrpgpromptober #steeltober

*I can get away with saying 3 levels instead of 2 because there are no domain features unlocked at level 3. But shhhh, don't tell anyone else.

Also more tags since they didn't fit into the parent post:

On to day 2! This time for the theme of "Trinket", we have a domain for trade! Which speaking of, do you think anybody would be interested in a set of 31 domains which are only the first few levels? I'm not sure that it's worth selling.

My official thread of @tintenseher.bsky.social's #steeltober!

I took "*Free*" Space a bit literally on this one.
1 Oct 2026: Free Space Unchainable Echelon 1 Title Prerequisite: lead a jailbreak from the inside. You gain a Double Edge on all Break Grab Tests. In addition, your Abilities count as 2 higher when resisting Potencies that result in the Grabbed, Slowed, or Restrained Conditions.

My thread for @tintenseher.bsky.social's #steeltober

Will be doing a bit of catch up here this weekend, since I saw this late, and then continuing on with it.

For day 1, I actually posted this on its own. But I'll include it here. My first ancestry in my Guild Wars 2 overhaul for Draw Steel.

Day 3 - Hero Tokens!

These would definitely need to be tested, but here's some ideas for other uses for Hero Tokens:

Complication: Self Sacrificing You always put others before yourself. Benefit: Your party starts with an additional Hero Token at the start of each session. Drawback: If you would regain stamina through the use of Hero Tokens, you gain half as much stamina instead.

My belayed Day 2 entry for #steeltober !
It was very fun reminding myself how #drawsteel Trinkets are supposed to work, so this was a fun experiment!
Beacon of Boldness Echelon II Trinket Project Points: 700 Project Ingredient: a brass bowl inscribed with 10 prayers to St Llewellyn the Valiant Project Source: texts in Vaslorian As a Maneuver, a creature may light this torch and recite one of the prayers inscribed. They may then choose 2 of the following. -regain all spent Recoveries -gain Heroic Resources equal to their Victories -count their Intuition and Presence as 2 higher when resisting Potencies until the end of the Encounter. The Beacon may not be used again until it is recharged during a Respite.

Day 2 - Trinket!

For this one, I somehow got fixated on translating one of my favorite things in fiction to Draw Steel: The Babel Fish from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Here was my day one of @tintenseher.bsky.social’s #steeltober

In my defense, I didn’t see it was a thing until 10 pm

#drawsteel #promptiber #ttrpgpromptober
Title: Procrastinator Prerequisite: Finish a project less than an hour before it’s due. Choose one of the following benefits: -I’ll get around to it: If you are the last hero to take a turn in a round of combat and have not used your triggered action this round, you may take an additional trigged action this round. -I work well under pressure: You may skip your turn in the first round of a montage to gain a double edge on a test made during the second round of that montage. -It just looks like I’m not working on it: If you take a respite without taking a respite activity, roll 3d10 on your next project roll. If any two of the tree dice make a natural 18, 19, or 20, you gain the benefit of a breakthrough. You can’t benefit from this title again until you gain a Victory.
