The STM research identity task and finnish group are suggesting a sort of publishing passport to verify authors' identities that could integrate into a digital wallet.
It could frustrate authors and create burden, but if done right, would only need to be done once and be a net time saver.

It's really good to see research integrity tools really beginning to mature. Different integrity signals and markers are getting integrated into platforms, with use cases and workflows being fleshed out to support both publishers and authors.
