I got to interview James about it as moderator of a panel. First time I was formally intro'd to him. He said "what's your favorite pornhub category, and don't you lie to me." He apparently wanted someone else to moderate until I started asking about the music. He was all about that.

Stocktoncon itself ended up being a great success! Admittedly, the lead up and first day was really nerve-racking, but with better sleep, and some needed display changes, it ended up teaching me a lot!
And getting to meet someone I've looked up to artistically for years was pretty neat too. :)

I decided after getting Revenge of the Flying Dutchman - the original such title - that I want to build up a collection of every single SpongeBob SquarePants game released on the GameCube. Sure enough, StocktonCon had one for sale, so I scooped it up as soon as I could.

Also at StocktonCon, my respite worker - who was there with me - let me pick out another video game as my birthday present from her.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! - developed by THQ Studio Australia and published by the original THQ through their Nick Games label in North America on October 19, 2005. Unfortunately, the case for my copy of this title has water damage, which spread to the paper inside it providing this gaming console title’s front cover, spine, and back cover. Thankfully, though, this blemish doesn’t make those packaging elements TOO unpresentable; I'll live. As is the case with the two prior games I got at StocktonCon, the back cover for the used copy of SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! that my respite worker bought for me during my latest trip to the convention has a price tag sticker slapped onto the top right corner. At least this time, the portion of said cover being partially obscured is something - or rather are elements - a little less irritating not to see in full: Mr. Krabs gleefully holding up his newest bag of money, and Patrick dopily rocking out a top hat. Speaking of money,...the cost for this game? $10.

My dad and stepmom gave me birthday money to use there, and the amount of it I didn't spend on lunch went to further expanding my physical game collection - specifically one title each on GameCube and Wii.
The two video games I bought with my latest birthday money from my dad and stepmom at the most recent StocktonCon: *Super Monkey Ball - developed by Amusement Vision and published by Sega for the Nintendo GameCube in North America on November 18, 2001 (left). Notably, my copy is one belonging to the infamous Player’s Choice line Nintendo had for their pre-DS gaming systems - complete with the dreaded yellow border with black text up top (and although it’s not visible in the photos I took, the all-blank version of the GameCube logo in another yellow logo on the spine, replacing the usual full-color GameCube logo in a black border, on the spine). *Super Smash Bros. Brawl - developed by Sora Ltd. and published by Nintendo for the Wii in North America on March 9, 2008 (right). Instead of their front covers like usual for games I buy physically, the used copies I purchased of the original Super Monkey Ball and Super Smash Bros. Brawl have the stickers providing their costs placed onto the top right corner of their back covers. Annoyingly, said stickers are in spots where portions of key cover elements for these two game console titles are present. Regardless, I ended up paying the following prices for them: *Super Monkey Ball 1 - $35 *Super Smash Bros. Brawl - $20 Another sticker has been placed onto the back cover for the latter game, this time slapped into its original bar code featuring an updated one - confirming the copy I now own of it is one previously sold Pre-Owned at GameStop.
