Is there really a difference between storcli and perccli? At what point to they diverge? It appears perccli2 is definitely it's own beast.

This kind of worked, by the way, though it's left me with the jankiest system I've ever owned and I/O from my /home disk is measured in seconds. Had to rebuild my mass LVM disk, too, and storcli is no longer able to create virtual disks which is a problem. But I have two monitors again! 🙃
It is 100% not going to work but now that I've seen there's technically a path I am autistically compelled to upgrade from Linux Mint 20.3 to 21 to 21.3 to 22 to 22.1, just to see what happens and where it breaks
My PC has nooo idea what to do with a B580 GPU... Apparently drivers are included from kennel 6.12 and that's super neat for people who want to switch distros I guess? Kind of not an option here.
