Some of my favorite crackships on my Tomodachi Life Island

#professorlayton #mobpsycho100 #storythieves #aceattorney #mylittlepony #tomodachilife
Digital doodles featuring various character from different medias. The first doodle is Professor Layton from the Professor Layton series and Arataka Reigen from Mob Psycho 100. Reigen talks as he moves one hand around, Layton looking up at him as he holds the brim of his hat. Both of them blush, an annotation above them reading, “mutual pining”. The second doodle is Owen Conners from Story Thieves by James Riley (portrayed as a Filipino boy with curly brown hair) and Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100. They sit back to back holding hands and smiling, Owen with his eyes closed and Mob staring at Owen lovingly. An annotation above them reads, “dating”. The third doodle is Maya Fey from Ace Attorney and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (portrayed as a human woman, based loosely on her human counterpart from Equestria Girls but with brown skin). They touch noses and foreheads together, holding hands as they smile. Above them, the annotation reads, “married”.

In my Tomodachi Life island, Emi from #MobPsycho100 fell in love with Bethany from #StoryThieves and it’s honestly so cute <3 writer girl in love with the half fictional book girl <3
Digital doodle of Emi Fukami from Mob Psycho 100 and Bethany Sanderson from Story Thieves by James Riley, Bethany portrayed as a girl with wavy hair in a ponytail. Both girls are dressed in casual outfits. Emi looks up lovingly at Bethany as she tucks her hair behind her ear, Bethany hugging a book to her chest and talking happily.

couple more doodles for this au ft a version with Mob and Owen

#mobpsycho100 #storythieves
Colored doodle of Reigen and Kara standing side by side. Reigen has a hand on her shoulder as he smiles down at her. Kara smiles up at him, holding up her hand with the time bracelet around it. Reigen squints, thinking to himself, "What a minute...." A colored doodle of a bust of Kara points out that she has pink hair and blue eyes. Reigen looks in shock and horror and thinks, "Oh no, this poor girl..... she's an ANIME PROTAGONIST!" A narration reads, "That day, Reigen swore to protect Kara's mental health from the traumas of being a main character." Digital doodle of Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100 and Owen Conners from Story Thieves by James Riley, drawn as a Filipino boy with curly hair. A narration reads in the corner, "Alternate version (Mob and Owen)". Mob, in a prison jumpsuit, looks to the side, slightly nervous with his fingers together as he says, "...and that's why I'm a terrible person who belongs in here even though everyone else is an adult and I'm only 14-years-old." Owen, also in a prison jumpsuit, stares in shock (similar to the traumatized Tails image meme, which is in a lower opacity next to Owen for comparison) with an annotation next to him reading, "just woke up in a prison full of dangerous espers after fighting an evil mannequin, met this kid who just dumped his entire life story on him, has no idea if his friends are still alive".

For today’s #JamesRileyAppreciationWeek2025 prompt, almost every character with a pov in a James Riley book and their dads/dad issues
#jamesrileyauthor #storythieves #halfuponatime #onceuponanothertime #revengeofmagic #thedragonsapprentice
Various characters from James Riley's books in the "Wait, you guys get paid?" meme format. Lena from Once Upon Another Time smiles and says, "My dad is alive and I have no relationship problems with him." Bethany Sanderson from Story Thieves and Forsythe "Fort" Fitzgerald from The Revenge of Magic frown as Bethany says, "Our dads were traumatically taken away from us before we were able to get them back after a long time." Jack from Half Upon a Time frowns with concern as he says, "My dad ruined my family's name and abandoned me after being forced to work for the Evil Queen in order to get my mom back, and I was raised by my grandfather instead." May Winterbourne and Phillip from Half Upon a Time, Kiel Gnomenfoot from Story Thieves, and Ciara from The Dragon's Apprentice stare blankly as Owen Conners from Story Thieves gives a confused look and says, "Wait, you guys have dads?"

This is for the Birthday prompt for #JamesRileyAppreciationWeek2025 in honor of James Riley’s birthday!!

#jamesrileyauthor #halfuponatime #storythieves #revengeofmagic #onceuponanothertime #thedragonsapprentice
Digital drawing of James Riley, a light skinned man with brown hair, green eyes, and stubble wearing a button up. He smiles as he holds an open book. Tiny/chibi versions of some of his different characters sit on him or are around him in some way: Ciara from The Dragon’s Apprentice sits on his head, looking at Scorch the dragon as he flies by. Rachel Carter and Jia Liang from The Revenge of Magic sit on one shoulder, holding hands. Forsythe “Fort” Fitzgerald sits next to them, looking at Cyrus who sits on the furthest end of James’ shoulder. Lena from Once Upon Another Time sits on his other shoulder with a smile, Jin floating nearby with Shefin on his head. Phillip, May Winterbourne, and Jack from Half Upon a Time sit on his arm, Phillip and May looking down at Jack as he tries to climb up. Bethany Sanderson from Story Thieves pops out from the pages of the book, Owen climbing up nearby and looking worriedly at Kiel, who happily dangles from the edge of the book’s cover and winks. Next to James it reads, “James Riley Author May 9th”. The same drawing of James without the characters.

I just realized I never posted my screenshot edits for this au on here lol

#mobpsycho100 #storythieves
Screenshot edit of the Mob Psycho 100 anime. Instead of Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, it is edited to have a young girl with brown skin, pink curly hair, and blue eyes wearing an orange T-shirt and overalls with a white bracelet around her left wrist (Kara Dox). She opens the door to the Spirits and Such Consultations Office, looking a little nervous as Arataka Reigen looks at her from the foreground. Screenshot edit from the Mob Psycho 100 anime. Kara and Reigen sit down, Reigen smiling down at her as he places one hand on her shoulder with Kara looking up at him and listening to what he tells her. Screenshot edit from the Mob Psycho 100 anime. Kara and Reigen stand at the mouth of the Honeido tunnel, Reigen looking serious as Kara smiles.

Rip high school me, you would've loved Mob Psycho 100

#mobpsycho100 #storythieves #mp100au
Digital doodles featuring Arataka Reigen from Mob Psycho 100 and Kara Dox from Story Thieves by James Riley, drawn as a Blasian girl with curly hair in a bob and bright blue eyes wearing short overalls and an orange T-shirt. Reigen sits in a chair smoking, thinking to himself, "Man, I'm bored. This time travel stuff isn't as exciting as I thought. The only problems people have for me are just phone issues or accidentally deleted files, nothing to do with paradoxes or anomalies. At this rate, I'm just tech support. Guess I should call it quits. It's not like there's all that much need for any time travel related business when the technology only became known to the public just a few years back. So what should I try next? I guess being a PI sounds fun, but I've heard they mostly do investigations on cheating spouses." Off screen, someone says, "Um, excuse me? I saw your sign and I was hoping you could help me........" Reigen puts out his cigarette in an ash tray and says with a smile, "Of course, come in! How may I–" He frowns as he trails off, "...help you..." Kara stands nervously at the door, a hand to her chest. Reigen thinks, "It's just a kid......" Reigen goes up to her with an unamused look and asks, "All right, young lady, what do you want?" Off screen, Kara says, "Well, you see, yesterday my future self showed up in my room and told me that I'm destined to destroy the world because I'm immune to paradoxes since my mom gave birth to me in a time bubble." Reigen says with a very confused expression, "Huh?" Kara continues, "She also said that I'm wanted by the Time Security Agency because of all that so she gave me a time bracelet so I can try to stop my future from happening in any way I can, but she also said that she and all my other future selves tried everything they could but nothing changes our future since we're immune to paradoxes and can't change our fate because of that." Reigen says, "HUH???" Kara continues, "And my dad just got arrested by the TSA this morning and I didn't know what else to do, but since you deal with paradoxes, I was hoping you could help me....." Reigen sits on a coffee table in front of Kara, who sits on a chair. Reigen has a hand on his shoulder as she looks up at him in awe as he says, "Your immunity to paradoxes is just a trait of yours, just like people who are fast, can sing well, or have strong body odor. It doesn't define who you are. You get to decide your own destiny– not some TSA agent or anyone else for that matter. So if you don't wanna destroy the world, then you won't."

For #JamesRileyAppreciationWeek2025 today, I made this drawing based on my favorite scene in #StoryThieves Worlds Apart and a comic based on another scene I love in another book (will put it in a reply)

#JamesRileyAuthor #Chowen
Digital doodle of Owen Conners (drawn as a Filipino boy with dark brown curly hair and eyes in a blue T-shirt and khakis) and Charm Mentum (drawn as a light skinned girl with white hair in a ponytail and wearing a black fullbody suit with a robotic left eye, a broken robotic right arm, and a robotic left leg) from Story Thieves. Charm is kneeling down, using her robotic arm to hold up Owen who is laying on the floor. Charm stares down at him crying as he smiles up weakly at her, her normal hand holding his.

None of my friends in the James Riley Author fandom are here on BlueSky afaik, and idk if there are other fans on here, but we’re doing a James Riley Appreciation Week event based on his books! And I want to share what I’ve made!
#jamesrileyauthor #jamesrileyappreciationweek2025 #storythieves
Digital colored doodle of Orion / Kid Twilight (drawn with light brown skin, brown eyes, and short black hair with a blue fade on his bangs wearing casual clothes) and Bethany Sanderson (drawn with white skin and curly red hair past her shoulders) from Story Thieves by James Riley with two young babies with white skin and short light brown hair. Orion is kneeling upright holding the hands of one baby, smiling as he helps her walk. Bethany sits cross legged with the other baby in her lap as he happily pulls on her hair, Bethany wincing in pain.
