'The Chase' - watercolour on board. I absolutely LOOOVED painting this piece, it appears in my book Savage Strangehollow. The red dragon btw is the biggest dragon in Strangehollow, but every few years this big chap flies in for his crunchy dragon appetiser.

'The Temple Guardian' - description from book in alt. For my book 'Seas Of Strangehollow'. #fantasyart #watercolour #painting #tentacles #creature #magic #fairytale #folklore
www.emilyhare.co.uk/collections/...
From the book 'Seas Of Strangehollow' THE TEMPLE GUARDIAN It is rumoured that the Temple of Oone was once a destination for brave pilgrims centuries ago. Strange stories are still shared between pirates and the traders in these waters about the temple's mysterious history. This place is so well hidden that it appears as just another island in a chain off the Strangehollow coast. If you pass by it on the northern side however, there is a hidden entrance to the temple marked by two large pale stones with ornate patterns carved into them. The temple itself is built inside the island, which is a long dead volcano rising out of the cerulean waters. Its steep sides are covered in rich vegetation and there is always a mist enveloping it, no matter the weather. Where there was once a beacon built near the top of the crater, its ruins are now a nesting place for dragons. If entering the temple by dingy, you will find wild creatures now make this place their home. The once-elaborate labyrinthine chambers inside the temple are now mostly submerged. Vigorous climbing plants curl up pillars and mangrove-loving trees embrace the walls and stretch their roots deep into the pools, giving the appearance they are the only thing keeping the place from crumbling into the ocean. It is said that at the centre of this ancient place lives a magical being once worshipped as a deity. Centuries since the last priest passed away, this immortal creature still abides. Despite there no longer being a monthly sacrifice, there is little doubt that unwitting visitors to the ruins fulfil this once-regular offering.

The Polgrop lives in the deep forests of Strangehollow. It is a distant cousin to the Spriggle but very rare. This is due to its unfortunate colouring which makes it very easy pickings for predators. Learn more in my book Savage Strangehollow and get notified on launch here - buff.ly/UDRlQEO #art
