expanded floodplain, stormwater storage, daylighting a formerly culverted 325-foot stretch of Chippewa Creek, and meandering 1,220' of restored stream.

I was fish sampling along a creek when a gang of bold little birds all jostled over drinking rights from one tiny section of streambank. There were similar places everywhere. But this was THE place. I think there were five species traveling together. 🪶
