One thing I love so much about Taiwan is how people make use of public spaces.
A while ago I saw two young persons sat in a corner of the walkway overlooking the sea, one strumming a guitar and the other singing softly, and it was one of the most beautiful things.
Climate change is gonna ruin that.

The poor are always disproportionately affected by the heat, but in Taiwan we have the added bonus of “electricity gets more expensive the more of it you use” so after a certain point it just all gets super expensive and unaffordable to have the a/c on all day, but it is becoming vital in this heat.

The boys with perpetual nervousness, The Feelies wrote and recorded music that regarded the rhythm guitar solo in "What Goes On" as an object of veneration, their own Ark of the Covenant. wp.me/pzXeC-7iA
I don’t talk much cause it gets in the way: The best of the Feelies
Exploring every nuance in the Velvet Underground’s diamond-sharp rhythm strumming on “What Goes On” like Alexander Pope did the heroic couplet, The Feelies produced a jittery post…

Your magnificence struck me like a chord, playing my heart in a tune, strumming my lungs with strings, breathe puffing out with notes.

Upwood Avenue
Upwood Avenue began long before it had a name.
It began on a Toronto street where childhood friends Ed Corrado and Piero Minelli pretended to be The Beatles, strumming tennis rackets before they had ...

BRDs are a little freaky if you think about it because they’re making the party hit better and harder with songs and also buffing the healer so they heal better, and removing status effects, and making everyone run faster all while playing BF a little flute or strumming a harp and singing.

Couple of young lads (12?) outside the convenience store with a guitar and a guitar case open on the floor. They're busking.
They don't know how to play a guitar and have no songs so they're kind of strumming now and then and looking awkward.
Someone dropped in some cash, and they're delighted.

Also remember that especially if you're strumming chords, it often doesn't matter too much if your barre is perfect. As long as you've got root, 3rd and either 5th or 7ths in there and open strings are muted, it'll be the right chord, so you can just play and eventually your barres will improve.

But Mr. Bohan would rather have been plucking a banjo or strumming his guitar, jamming with friends until late at night.
Alison Kelley, his girlfriend, said he hoped to parlay his musical talents into a full-time job, perhaps as a music teacher at a public school. "Music was so important to him."

Bernie Williams grew up in Puerto Rico obsessed with two things – baseball and music.
While starring for a Yankees team that won four World Series titles between 1996 and 2000, the five-time All-Star could often be seen strumming a guitar, whether it was in the clubhouse or on the team plane.

Strumming the sand
Please lift a hand, I'm only a person
With eskimo chain, you tattered my brain all the way

Dandelion visits The Limper in the ruined cities of the North, strumming his lute, a flamboyant hat tilted jauntily. TITAN'S GAMBIT: CRITICAL SUCCESS! The Limper is overwhelmed by Dandelion’s inspired allies, their defenses broken by poetic valor. "A song for your defeat; it’s quite catchy."
