I certainly didn't expect it -- I wd've guessed Mexico's, but here we are. The Canadian government sent my wife a memorial flag after her father passed away. He was Canadian RAF during WWII, a machine gunner on a subhunter. She told me the other day she wants to put up a flagpole and fly it.

6/9 It may make sense to use a subhunter like the Tu-142MK to provide early warning of Ukrainian USVs. It is muc harder to see a use case for the Tu-142MR. I don't know, but seriously doubt that the diesel-electric subs of the Black Sea Fleet have the need and the necessary equipment for ELF comms.
