#subluxations
Three subluxations found in my rib cage today.

Basically three mini dislocations and my specialist had to *put them back*.

A background that include non existing conditions like “subluxations”

100% of chiropractors are not reputable. Just because you got a nice massage does not make "subluxations" a real cause of disease. "Chiropractic" is a complete con from top to bottom.

‘So many subluxations, so little time!’

The return visits are the goal, and the key to a successful chiropractic career!

How else are you going to see the "subluxations"?
Is she…reading a C spine X-ray…on Microsoft Paint?!

i would like people to stop recommending chiropractors in chronic illness spaces i’m in lol. like what. did that ghost of a doctor say that spinal subluxations will cure POTS too? 😭

Popping the gas bubbles between vertebrates doesn't fix actual problems, only fake ones like subluxations.

the worst, absolutely the worst

i love how subluxations can cause spasms, but then, hey, for fun, spasms can also cause subluxations! no getting off THIS train

Make it stop.

Also: subluxations are real. “Vertebral subluxations” that “might not appear on an X-ray” are not.

I’m finally having my first appointment for getting assessed for EDS on Tuesday. I do have a lot of symptoms (including hypermobility and frequent subluxations, sometimes full dislocations), but we’ll see if that’s actually what it is

I've had a blue badge for a number of years, for those that know me I have EDS type 3 its a degenerative condition it doesn't get any better, it causes excessive pain, frequent joint dislocations/subluxations amongst other shit. My BB was up for renewal (expires 14th)....

oh god. me and cervical subluxations
When you’re chronically ill … options for emergency care and/or triage dwindle considerably.

Doctor: “When this happens, go to the ER.”

Me: “That happens every day.”

Dr: “Oh. I’m sure you will figure it out”

Me: “How?!?”

God, in hindsight I really should have known I had EDS a long time ago. Not only is it often comorbid with the tism, I’ve also literally always dealt with subluxations. I just didn’t realise that wasn’t normal, nor that it had a name. I was just like “Well, guess that’s how joints work”

Haha excellent comparison! You tell them about subluxations and they think YOURE the bad guy.
April 25, 2026 at 6:07 PM
sometimes they’re just pops, and sometimes they’re subluxations that settle correctly, and sometimes they’re subluxations that DON’T settle correctly.

and sometimes they’re subluxations that previously hadn’t settled correctly, but have finally self-corrected.

another “fun” fact is that my baseline musculoskeletal pain has increased since being infected with covid in 2022, and so has the frequency of subluxations

these are both common long-term effects of covid in people with eds

Hypermobility, GI issues, whole of digestive tract, subluxations, and of course ADHD.

The struggle: laptop not working for writing due to pain, dislocations.

Buy iPad. Writing becomes much easier!

Develop weird strain and subluxations in left wrist from holding iPad.

Sigh.

What are subluxations and dislocations ?

We #Zebras experience both and it can be often

kneecap subluxations are one of the most annoying subluxations, thanks for making me feel like I need to shake my leg out every time I walk smh
June 1, 2026 at 12:41 AM
i don’t talk about it a lot, but i have a connective tissue disorder (which may or may not either be an autoimmune disorder, or linked to one!) which makes my entire body hurt, all the time, independent of the frequent subluxations.

Do giraffes need chiropractors? Imagine all those subluxations.

Injured my shoulder while putting on a winter coat.
I'm prone to subluxations but this one was a doozy (frozen shoulder).
Needed a cortisone shot and PT to recover.
