are you fucking joking right now
It's apparently not just this one substory, it's a bunch of substories, but this one more than most other substories gave Kiryu a significantly important amount of depth, growth, kindness, and positive masculinity characterization.
What the fuck is RGG doing?

If this is true, Yakuza Kiwami 3 is getting worse the more I hear about it. Seriously fuck you RGG for bending to the transphobes. This is beyond disappointing to hear.

I find it really nice how constantly respectful of homeless people the Yakuza series is. A lot of substories have you stand up for them and stress they are human beings as much as anyone else. It especially feels more endearing now given how awful attitudes are towards them nowadays.

The genius behind removing most of the substories for Kiwami 3 is that players who do care about the trans substory are going to be deeply hurt and upset and players who don’t will be pissed off anyway because you took out like 70 side quests.

In 2009, Yakuza 3 handled a story about a transwoman more effectively than any Triple-A developer ever has.
This substory won't be in the Yakuza 3 Kiwami remake releasing tomorrow as they cut 90 substories, so let's take a moment to remember how fucking based Kiryu and the writers can be.
