The gig our band did last night was for a friend of our lead guitarist, no charge for friends and family is our rule. They’ve just donated to SUDEP Action in David’s name, I’m so chuffed. 🥰🥰🥰

Never used a smartwatch before but just got one with heart rate / O2 tracking to monitor my nocturnal seizures and make SOS calls for me. I am at severe risk of SUDEP and he will almost certainly save my life one day, even now that he's gone.

I'm epileptic, and one of my medications is now $1100/month. I literally can not afford it. Me seizure frequency has already increased. I am not looking forward to SUDEP. I hate this.

RIP😭❤️ SUDEP is the scariest thing I have ever heard of. He was so talented too. I can’t imagine all of the greatness he may have done had he had the chance at the many years he deserved.

Each year, more than 1 in 1,000 people with epilepsy die from SUDEP.

Alice Katharine Hale was born on May 1, 1985, to George X. Hale & me.

#SUDEP - Sudden Unexpected Death in EPilepsy - took Alice from us in April 2015, 10 days before her 30th birthday.

She was brilliant, generous, kind, funny & well loved.

I talk about her often to keep her alive. She's worth it.

I had no idea how many people, especially young people die of epilepsy. I will be putting David’s story on there next week. I will not let his death be forgotten or disregarded. #RaiseAwareness

SUDEP affects approximately 1 in 1,000 people with epilepsy. For decades, it was a risk many neurologists dismissed as too rare to discuss.
