One of my AliExpress 11/11 sale watches arrived today. It's a Sugess Chronograph with a Seagull st1907 hand wind movement with a power reserve function. Essential on a hand wind. Stainless everything and screw down pushers, but not the crown.

The second-largest group of watches in my collection are Chinese. These include three Pagani Designs, one Sugess, and one San Martin. All are homages to far more expensive luxury watches, and are of surprisingly good quality. #bigseiko

My watch o' the day is a Sugess chronograph. This one's straight mechanical ... it has to be wound once a day, like granddad's. It's one of the few in my collection still on the strap it came with ... IMO it looks perfect the way it is. #bigseiko

I had a Seagull Sugess Pilot and was really impressed with the quality for the price point, $200 or so. Someday I'd like one of their fancier options, but it's not gonna sit very comfortably beside my very austere classic Seikos and Tudors.

Review of the Sugess so far. 1. I swapped the strap, too short for my wrist & a bit thin but did come with QR bars. 2. It’s very thick for a mutual winder but the chromosome complication Prob accounts for that. 3. Main hands are too pale against the champagne dial. Otherwise, loving it.

My watch o' the day is this Sugess chronograph. It's on an Alpine rally strap, which I love, but the thick buckle has a tendency to snag and catch on things. Was gonna graft on a thinner buckle, but this one goes with the thick strap, so I'll learn to compensate. #wristwatch #bigseiko

I was looking at that one, but went with the Sugess 457 instead. It's got the hand wind Seagull 1907 movement with power reserve. The aluminum bezel is underwhelming and the screw down pushers look cheap. Sapphire domed crystal is nice. Under $200 usd right now.
