i mostly use pentel kuru-toga .7s and sakura sumogrip .9s 'cause i tend to have a heavy hand. only problem with the sumogrip is that the clip tends to snap off easily. if i could get one of those with a metal body and a clip like this I'd be set for life.

I prefer to do most of my drawing with .7 mechanical pencils. For the last several years the SumoGrip has been my preferred tool. That barrel width makes for a comfortable work day, but they keep breaking. Plastic. 😐 I have a few alternatives I like, and others I may get. . .

Love the look of that Koh-I-Noor Magic Eraser. I wonder if it’s as effective as the Sakura SumoGrip?

I love the Dr. Grip pen and the 0.9 mm Sakura Sumo Grip mechanical pencil because I tend to hold my writing implements with a death grip that gives me carpal tunnel on skinnier pen(cils), so the wide barrel and big firm squishy grips keep my wrist muscles from straining too hard.

I buy. I like pilot precise vs, sumogrip pencils, and pitt pens. My hospital is not leaving those with the clipboards.

For pure eraser joy, this little powered eraser won my heart when I was in design school in the days before CAD. (this is the replacement for the Sakura I wore out)

My then 10yo son loved to get my Exacto knife and
shape the eraser sticks like turning on a lathe. 🤣

If I had a nickel for the amount of times I've had a SumoGrip mechanical pencil crack on the barrel, I would have two nickels.
And frankly, perhaps I should be concerned considering these mechanical pencils made to be more ergonomic and this one barely lasted a year????😭
