It’s September and the tomato season is almost over 😔, but it’s not over until it’s over.
So, I pruned damaged, diseased and sunblocking leaves, tied in the last trusses still ripening and harvested a few of the almost ripe ones, and a cucumber. 🌱

i did it! i got a bigger cloud sunblocking umbrella for me + kids or T (w or without kids) and a smaller rainbow one for me. it is v funny to me that a solid black umbrellas are an option given the sunblocking aspect.

Saw this posted in the wild a few weeks ago, and it sent me down a rabbit hole. Health orgs have been having to publish articles debunking this, which is just wild

I had my toddler class at the table today, and I was sunblocking them to go outside. They were getting restless, and I said I would let them listen to my son's recital on my phone to pass the time. I pull it out, and one of my kids sees my lockscreen and says, "Is that your Dad?"
No, buddy🤣 Thx, tho

I don't know about this one, but I discovered last year that if you search for clothing for fishing, you can find all sorts of sunblocking things! Shirts with full hood and face covers, which end up showing only your eyes.

The gold standard for bellflower is carefully digging and clearing the roots, or smothering with sunblocking material. But if, like me, you don't have the time/energy, clipping can at least keep the thousands of seeds per plant from spreading.

Last year I embraced the long sleeve rash vest- no snorkelling sunburn, no missed bits on your back & dozens of post-swim sunblocking sessions avoided. Showing skin is a faff!

This is the most emphatic take down of radiative forcing geoengineering (i.e. sunblocking) I've ever seen

It: a) won't work b) will melt the permafrost c) will cause more wildfires d) would need to be deployed forever

SRM belongs in the dumpster www.nature.com/articles/s43...
Radiative forcing geoengineering causes higher risk of wildfires and permafrost thawing over the Arctic regions - Communications Earth & Environment
Stratospheric aerosol injection, marine cloud brightening, and cirrus thinning are less effective in cooling the Arctic than the globe and may lead to increased risk of wildfires and permafrost thawin...

We are gonna have to spray the air with sunblocking stuff. Climate change is too far gone. We have to cool the place down.

Also, the sunblocking on the windows is fucking COOL.

We've been chasing the sun, it's been 1-3pm for the past 8-hours and YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IT.

LOVE IT.
