More thoroughly enjoyable @SurveyofLondon research today- looking at early C19th records to establish the residents of a Marylebone Square. One chap was the Chennai (then Madras) 'Agent for Spirituous Liquors'- liquor was a profitable commodity, yet a cause of social problems.

Had a great day researching in the Portman Estate Archive yesterday for @SurveyofLondon. And a slice of extra loveliness- tour of Portman Sq Garden by archivist Sarah Charlton. Sculpture, blossom, plane trees...Looking forward to warmer days when we can munch our lunch there!
