Y’all! It IS true! There IS a nesting pair! And I caught them right at nest duty switchoff while on a lunch-time run today!
It’s not that I didn’t fully believe the homeowners but I was only ever seeing the one caracara (and not the nest since it’s mostly out of view!) lol 😭

when we moved out of the city, we wanted a big streetlight strangely placed in our backyard turned off, and no one would do anything until we got a dude on the line who was super high:
“Reason for the switchoff?”
“We want to see the stars.”
“Oh I LOVE THAT!”
Immediately disconnected 😄
