As you review the plant list, you might notice that some are non-native and a few are labeled invasive.

The collection includes western swordfern (Polystichum munitum), herb-robert (Geranium robertianum), feather reed-grass (Calamagrostis × acutiflora),

This likely Wood-woolly foot mushroom's desiccation aptly represents the thirst our forests in the PNW still feel.

The recent rainfall has been much appreciated but nowhere near what we need. #Mushroom #Moss #SwordFern #Fungi

Not many other fungi are popping recently but I'll post a few.

There was an epic punk and metal show at the all ages venue at the bowling alley downstairs from the radio station. I caught the last band, Swordfern. I’ve been to all their show! 2! I’m not a metal fan but live music is hella fun and this was great to see. So much great live music in #qathet

One of the few Amanita #Fungi seen at McCormick Forest Park Friday. I really enjoyed the composition including the sporangia dotted frond of a nearby #SwordFern in the background. A closer shot of the fungi can be seen below.

A couple of #FungiFriends posing in front of their protector, a regenerating Western Swordfern clump.

The larger is a Questionable stropharia, Stropharia ambigua growing from the forest floor and the other, a tiny unknown fungi buddy, growing from a fallen stem. #Fungi #Nature #Macro #Photography

Love your Swordfern perspective! Like you, I don’t have much in the way by humans or urban. I’m much better with animals.🙏😊
