He has the basic body of a Gliscor with bird talons for feet, Staraptor's emo haircut and fluffy accents around his wrists and thighs, as well as some extra patterns. Those are not amethyst. Those are taaffeite, and that's technically a radiant cut (on an octagon shape).

I got shiny rocks!
A matched pair of amethysts, in emerald cut (long octagons). They are rich purple with flashes of deep pink. The photo has dense color and yet it's still not as rich and brilliant as the actual stone. They are SUPER glittery in reality. An indicolite tourmaline, a bit smaller than the amethysts, but cut in a similar emerald/octagon cut. The blue in the photo doesn't accurately reflect the green-tinged peacock blue of the actual stone. Gah, it's so hard to photograph gems!
