P1: Queenie gently holding fluffs ring tied around a necklace and speaking gently " such a brilliantly beautiful ring, you must be married to the Sweetest soul!" Fluff looks miserable, depressed and down being reminded of her husband P2: fluff holds her ring close to her, protecting it due to it being all that's left of Caine. And she responds respectfully " oh no ma'am..not anymore.. I'm single.." P3: Queenie looks confused yet worried for her. Asking gently " well what happened to your partner?" Keep in mind she says partner and not husband. She doesn't assume she's straight she's accepting of whoever she's with but she's still worried about fluffs well being and her love P4: fluff grips the chain tightly, as if the question despite calm and emotional and empathetic hurts her to answer anyways. Which it does, her partner had just died and it was a fresh wound currently A screenshot of Caine near the end of episode 8 right before his deleton, he looks confused, scared and his expression shows his sorrow, the regret and the wish to apologize. All expressed only with eyes and teeth. He knows he's about to die and all he can do is stare, confused and miserable ( This expression haunts me..) The very next millisecond, he's gone and he died. Ceasing to exist, no body, no trace of his existence. He's simply dead Fluff than moves away from the conversation, too upset to answer Queenie, despite her deep respect for kinger's wife and Caine's supposed mother figure, she simply cannot bring herself to answer that question. Because it feels like salt in the wound Pomni instead explains the situation and afterwards says about fluff " she doesn't like to talk about it" Queenie seeing her adoptive son is dead, without a trace, is shocked, and mortified. And in a way Queenie wants to comfort fluff but fluff just wants to be alone with her sadness

I found this really old art in my files. I remember making it around the same time the song Funny Things by RecD came out so my art style and my coloring style were VERY different.
