Happy #makeaterriblecomicday2025

#doodles #doodlecomic #tailoids #oc
Gel pen doodle comic. Panel 1: rose colombe is tied to a chair in a room dimly lit by a single light bulb. From a the foreground, a shadowy figure interrogates her. "Answer me this, Colombe..." Panel 2. We see the figure, metro, from rose's pov, pointing a gun at her. He is saying "what song deserved to win in 2023? Tattoo? Or cha cha cha?", referring to the eurovision 2023 results Panel 3. We get a closer shot of rose tied up. She appears nervous, and is looking at the ground and sweating. "Eu... well", she hesitates, "I think Loreen-" she is cut off by Panel 4: wider shot on both characters. Metro says "wrong answer" and shoots her in the face with what turns out to be a squirt gun, spraying her with water. "SACRE BLEU" exclaims rose

Venus of the Landfill

#myart #oc #tailoids
pen and marker illustration of my OC, Rose Colombe, on a plain white background. She is an android, and here most of her human parts are stripped away, leaving inner mechanisms exposed. Her long pink hair is desheveled and her eyes, framed by gold plating, are dark and blank. On of her gold cheekplates is missing, exposing hollow grey metal beneath. she still has her rose headphones attached to her ears, but with no headband on them. her face, hands, and feet still appear human, but there are exposed ports along her throat and clear creases and folds on her neck, indicating a silicone mask. She stands somewhat contrapasto with one knee bent and the opposite arm outstretched, yet limp

Early Rose hardware iterations, mostly based on 18th-19th century automata. I think she had a pretty crude chassis at first and got various upgrades over the years, both from the record company wanting more realism & her seeking out 3rd party mods

#doodles #oc #tailoids
Pen sketches of my oc Rose, in a more stripped down state showing her mechanisms. Lower left is a fairly detailed bust showing exposed facial musculature (no hair/wig), a speaker on/in her throat, very short upper arm housing showing exposed wires and arm struts, and a crude metal skeleton/framework making up her torso. A box like structure is in her chest, meant to be her "voicebox"/synthesizer. On the upper right is a smaller and cruder upper body drawing, labeled "cloth & padding over hard components." Here rose does have her long hair, but her face is shadowed and obscured. Her skinny arm struts and metal joints are completely exposed, and a cloth mannequin body is held in place with metal bars to give the appearance of breasts and a stomach.

Rose: I'm a musician! I live to sing! I'm cute!
Rose: wait... so my existence was manufactured, I was never a real girl, my voice isn't even mine, and my caretakers only care about me if I can make them money?
ophiolatrix.bsky.social Siobhan (successfully gorilla'd) @ophiolatrix.bsky.social · Dec 5
At this point Rose doesn't angst about it or anything and is content to be herself and enjoy life, but she definitely went through several rebellious phases and existential crises about it over the course of the 20th century.

I tried making an Ai Vtuber model at one point. Ultimately called it quits when I was having trouble with the lipsync and figured I prob wasn't gonna stream much anyway, but I also did up portraits of Rose and Metro in this style (that are also their utau vb portraits)
